API, CLI or other programmatical access to ReportServer

Hello

Is there some kind of REST API or CLI tool, or command in Terminal or some other way to programmatically access ReportServer, for example to register BIRT report and parameters? I mean not by clicking manually by administrator, but I would like to create some kind of script (or java app?) that would register bunch of reports into ReportServer (ideally that works in CommunityEdition).

Re: API, CLI or other programmatical access to ReportServer

Hello,

in ReportServer everything can be adjusted using scripts. There is the link to the script tutorial and the link to the script documentation:

https://reportserver.net/en/tutorials/t … scripting/
https://reportserver.net/en/documentation/

That scripts can all be called up remotely via URLs:

https://reportserver.net/en/guides/scri … rs/Basics/ (3.2. Executing Scripts via URL)
or
https://reportserver.net/en/guides/scri … Reporting/
Chapter 5.8. Interactive Reports
Chapter 5.6. Working with Parameters and Arguments

Please note that you can try all Enterprise Edition features for 45 days. If you need a longer evaluation period, we can create an Extended License for you if required.

Best Regards,

Alexander

Re: API, CLI or other programmatical access to ReportServer

thank you for your answer
if I got it right, scripting is available only in EE, but in CE no scripting is possible

Re: API, CLI or other programmatical access to ReportServer

Hello, rsvoboda and alex_lust, guys, do you happen to have a video to solve this problem? I just got interested in programming, data mining and application development not so long ago. I'm just not that young, I'm almost 75 years old, but I don't want to be a grumpy old man. I want to contribute to the development of technology, I'm really not so good at it, it's very hard for me to do this, but only weaklings or fools give up. I'm not ready to agree yet that it's time for me to retire. Therefore, excuse me for my stupid request and I hope you will tell me how your question is resolved correctly.
