¿How schedule a report to send directly to an external FTP?

Hello Everyone,

Seeing the capabilities of RS, I see that there is a function to schedule a report to send directly to an SFTP, I have no idea how I should use this option, can anyone here help me.

Re: ¿How schedule a report to send directly to an external FTP?

Hello unsi_2,

I read the documentation related to, but to be honest I see a lack of info on that, for example is not clear if I can put multiple SFTP servers or just one. from my perspective RS should be strong enough to sent to multiple FTP servers right ?

Re: ¿How schedule a report to send directly to an external FTP?

Hi Enrique,

SFTP is not yet supported, this will be supported in one of the next ReportServer versions.

Regarding multiple FTP: I raised ticket RS-4539 for this. FTP in ReportServer is a relatively new functionality, so of course we will add more advanced features in next versions.

You can of course always use the send-to functionality if you need custom send-to: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/scri … s/Send-To/

Eduardo

Re: ¿How schedule a report to send directly to an external FTP?

Hi Enrique,

we implemented SFTP functionality analogously to the current FTP functionality. This will be available with the next ReportServer version 3.4.0. I will write here when this version is released.

Eduardo

Re: ¿How schedule a report to send directly to an external FTP?

Hi Enrique,

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to let you know we added "Datasinks" to ReportServer, analogously as Datasources. In Datasinks, you will be able to define multiple FTP servers, or SFTP servers, (in future also Samba, Dropbox, etc) and export your reports accordingly to the datasinks defined. This is almost finished (FTP and SFTP datasinks) and will be included into 3.4.0.

Regards,
Eduardo
