Is there a way to enable permission management tab for an user

Hi

As an administrator, I can access the permission management tab on all objects. I would like another user that is not an administrator to see and edit access control entries on this tab.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks
Aditi

Re: Is there a way to enable permission management tab for an user

Dear Aditi,

at Reportserver you can do a lot of stuff.
The permission management is very varied and fine.

You can set rough rights, so called "generic rights", or you can, in detail, set various permissions for each object.
There is also an rights-extending-mechanism, that makes life easier.

Please take a look at our documentation. There you can find a lot of information. F.e. here :
https://reportserver.net/en/guides/admi … anagement/

You can play with the permissions and test out how it works.
Hint : if you want to login with another user, there is an fast way without to logout with your admin. Press CTRL + ALT + L , then you will be forwarded to switch user. When you logout with that user, you return back to your admin-session.

You can always achieve your goals via scripting. Reportserver scripting is very powerful.
If you need a scripting solution, please ask.

If you have further questions, please also don't hesitate to ask.

best regards,
Rodion

Re: Is there a way to enable permission management tab for an user

Hi Aditi,

you need the following generic permissions for this:
- Administration so he/she sees the administration panel
- Report management so he/she sees the report management panel
- Permissions on the reports / directories needed.

Regards,
Eduardo
