Hi, I want to evaluate the built-in SFTP server. I know where to configure it - /fileserver/etc/misc/misc.cf - but I don't understand where to get the server's certificate. Is this something that must be requested? Or is it already available on the server? I am using Windows Server 2012 R2, opening the certificates applet shows me a lot of certificates.

All, I got it working now. just in case anyone is interested - or has better suggestions - I followed these steps:
1. Installed OpenSSH on the Windows server following these steps: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/guide_windo … ssh_server, 'Installing SFTP/SSH Server'
2. copied ssh_host_rsa_key to hostkey.pem
3. in /fileserver/etc/misc/misc.cf referenced this file in unc notation as described in https://forum.reportserver.net/viewtopic.php?id=387
Now I am able to connect via WinSCP via port 8022 and see the team folders under root/tsreport.

when you connect to the reportserver filesystem via WinSCP via port 8022 on the server where reportserver is installed, what do you put in the host name field to connect? This is what I am confused about.

Hi jeffroozica,
I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. But you should put the IP or hostname of the server where you installed OpenSSH.

Eduardo, thanks. Yes, I finally figured this out. I need to use the host name or IP address of the server I installed reportserver on. After I did that, it worked using port 8022. Thanks, Jeff
