Dear all, I want to create side-by-side tables using Excel output. I use 3*2 grid to divide the panel. It's seemed all right when using Report Viewer, but not OK when output using Excel, all content is in one cell. I try to use "Dynamic Text" but can't create data binding. Please give me some hints to solve this, many thanks and regards.

Hi Walter,
I am not sure that what you are trying to achieve can be done. A cell in a grid in BIRT, as far as I know, is always mapped to a cell in Excel. Thus, if you have a table within a grid cell, the entire table will be put into one cell in Excel. If you use a different export format such as HTML, this does not occur since HTML does not have a notion of grid cells on its own.
As I said, this is to the best of my knowledge. As this is purely a BIRT question, you might try asking this on one of the official BIRT forums, e.g., at opentext or at eclipse.
Best Regards,
Thomas
