Does Pivot/Preview Excel Export have merged cells in newer versions?

i.e. if we have a product category, and it takes 5 rows, like this:

Region     Category      Product Line     Store       Quantity Sold
-------------------------------------------------------------------
West       Electronics   TV               Store 01     12
                                          Store 02      9
                         Fridge           Store 01      7
                                          Store 03     11
           Groceries     Chocolates       Store 01     25
                                          Store 02     18
                         Cereals          Store 02     10

East       Electronics   TV               Store 01     14
                         Fridge           Store 04      6

In excel, it would show everything on every row, if i select Excel-Export while in Pivot Preview, on Report server 3.x.x

I guess I can get around this with a jxls template, using mergeCells, but that's a little tricky and harder to do than visually dragging around cells until you get the order you want in pivot mode.

i was mostly just playing around with the pivot/preview mode today since I never used it. Originally i will write the jxls template but wasn't sure if it supported that natively.

please try the newest ReportServer. ReportServer 3.x.x is not supported.
