Dynamic list Excel Export file empty 0kb, cannot open error

Hi,

Using RS is RS4.2.0-6072 (2022-08-22-10-22-31) Community edition,

When trying to export dynamic list that has grouping and aggregates functions used, and when results are appx. 2000 records, I get empty Excel file (0Kb) and cannot open it.

When reducing nbr of records to <250 , Excel generates ok and I'm able to open it, no issues.

Tried latest demo enterprise version - same results
Tried changing excelexport config file to xls, streaming true/false - same results.

Any idea what is the cause of this?

can you reproduce this with the demo data ? Modifying it in an analogous way as in your case.

Just to update - I was able to resolve the issue, though I'm still not sure what exactly caused it.
The issue was that grouping (aggregation) was done already in SQL and then (by mistake) same again in RS.
Still not clear why this caused an issue with export file, as data was being displayed in preview normally (the grouping done in RS had no effect as data was grouped already).
Anyway, my problem was solved with this, not sure if there is any issue underlying.
