Email will not send

This is part of what I see in my log every time I try to send an email:

11-Aug-2017 16:47:28.152 SEVERE [pool-7-thread-1] org.hibernate.engine.jdbc.spi.SqlExceptionHelper.logExceptions No operations allowed after connection closed.
11-Aug-2017 16:47:28.156 WARNING [pool-7-thread-1] net.datenwerke.rs.core.service.mail.MailServiceImpl$1.run Mail could not be send

I'm sure mail.cf is set up properly, and I've run config reload. I don't know what to do.

Problem solved: I restarted the ReportServer process and it worked.
