Hi!
Thank you again for a great product that gets better from version to version.
We finally set to begin the launch for many users.
As a test run, we will use the free version.
Is there a version 3 script that allow you to import a large number (more than 3000) users?
Maybe there is some other way to the free version to import a large number of users?

Hi Max,
thank you for the kind words. We are trying our best to provide a great BI solution. (If you find the time, maybe consider writing a review, for example on Gartner or G2Crowd).
As for your question: Importing a large number of users, or say, synchronizing the user base with an active directory is a great use case for ReportServer scripts but I am afraid there is no "easy" way to accomplish this in ReportServer Community. There are, however, a few things that you could consider:
Export Format: you could try to have a look at the export format of ReportServer when you export users. It is an XML file and you could possibly generate this XML file automatically for the users that you would like to import.
If it is a one-time operation, and you are setting up a fresh server you could set up ReportServer Enterprise and import the users with a ReportServer script during the 45 day trial phase. This is, of course, not what the trial phase was meant for but since ReportServer will degrade to ReportServer Community after the 45 days, this might be the easiest solution if you want to use ReportServer Community.
You might, of course, also reconsider using ReportServer Enterprise

Hello, Thomas!
Could you tell us a little more about the second variant, you mentioned above?
Perhaps it is possible to import users from an external data file.
Also interested in the option to import user variables.

Hi Max,
have a look at the scripting tutorial and guide on https://reportserver.net/en/documentation/. They should get you started. If you do require additional support on this, I'd suggest to purchase ReportServer Enterprise plus a small support package.
