Browser 'Save Password' functionality disabled

Hello,

The ReportServer disables the 'Safe Password' functionality of the browser, therefore the browsers do not offer to save the passwords entered at login. Is there any option in ReportServer to activate this functionality?
I know, it is generally more safe to not save the password in browser, but the modern browsers do that encrypted and on the other hand in some cases the alternatives are just even worse.

Re: Browser 'Save Password' functionality disabled

Hi cchris26,

in my tests the browser asked to save the password, which browser exactly are you using? And which reportserver version?
Where do you see that the save password functionality is disabled?

Regards,
Eduardo

Re: Browser 'Save Password' functionality disabled

Hi Eduardo,

I tested with Firefox ESR 52, with the normal Firefox 63 and Internet Explorer, in four different Windows 7 or 10 environments. I currently have the ReportServer 3.0.5 in test and 3.0.3 in production. None of the browsers with none of the two RS versions offers to save the password.

Kind regards,
Cristian
