Development Environment for Report Server

This post is for the developers of Report Server.

I downloaded the source for Report Server. After doing some research, it appears Report Server was developing using Google Web Toolkit or GWT.

There appears to be a GWT plugin for NetBeans, which is the environment that I’m most familiar.

What tools do you prefer for developing Report Server?

Hi Tom,

ReportServer is indeed based on GWT. For development we use Eclipse. We are also currently in the process of writing the ReportServer scripting guide which contains an introduction
on how to setup RS with Eclipse. The current plan is to release the scripting guide in May.
