Re: Connection with Redshift

Hi abhinav,

did you take a look here: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/admi … tasources/ ?
4.2. Amazon Redshift

If this is not working, what exactly is not working? what error do you get?

Eduardo

Re: Connection with Redshift

While connecting to the amazon redshift I got the issue as the driver is missing, installed the driver that error is resolved, now when I'm trying to add JDBC URL and password in the data source section and click on test connection it is showing connection failed. The major issue is not showing the reason for failure.

Hi abhinav,

did you click on "save" before clicking on "test connection" ?

Hi abhinav,

what exactly do you mean by "import data from a connection" ?

Can you create a simple dynamic list using this connection? If you get an error: what error do you get? (pls check the Tomcat logs)

Re: Connection with Redshift

Hi abhinav,

the "import" button is not for importing datasource data, but for importing ReportServer objects: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/admi … nd-Export/

Pls. create a dynamic list and test this: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/admi … amic-List/

Re: Connection with Redshift

Hi Eduardo,

Does that mean I need to create a Dynamic list for each table?

Re: Connection with Redshift

Hi abhinav,

no, it depends what you need to achieve. Dynamic lists are based on a query, so if you only write "select * from mytable", this will be based on a table. But of course you can write much more complex queries.

You may want to take a look at the documentation here: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/admin/main/ , https://reportserver.net/en/guides/user/main/  especially dynamic lists here: https://reportserver.net/en/guides/user … mic-Lists/

Eduardo
